The pulse-pounding beat throbs against the backdrop of an electric dance floor and the crowd surging about on it. Bodies slicked with sweat grind and twist against each other, possessed by rhythm or Ecstasy, pupils swelled to maximum potential as the night weaves on.

Music sweeps through the massive gathering, transforming normal humans into passionate entities moving with fluid grace and no shame. Older and more experienced dancers move with water bottles close at hand while the new teenagers flail their limbs recklessly about.

Those not participating in this celebration stand in a corner, chatting with beers and joints in hand. They cast near-envious glances at the uninhibited and jubilant group nearby, the beautiful people twining about each other.

Bass booms echo out of the gigantic speakers all around the room, catching some in its infectious beat to be dragged into the writhing circle.

And then.

And then.

Sweeping laser lights are joined by red and blue flashes, and the gyrating bodies form together in a massive, rioting escape, Those too altered by their drugs continued to dance, oblivious to the panicked crowd and the new light show.

And then.

And then.

All those influenced by substances are now confronted with nightsticks and bright white lights. Huge alien pupils are widened further as gleaming handcuffs beam the happy dancers into patrol cars.

And then.

And then.
